All Your Questions Answered

What exactly do I own?+

You own a physical Bitmain ASIC mining unit installed at ThunderMine's private facility. This is hardware ownership, not a fund participation, lease, or financial instrument. You receive a hardware purchase invoice.

How are mining rewards paid?+

Mining rewards are distributed directly from the pool to your designated Bitcoin wallet address. Payouts are typically daily once your pool balance crosses the payout threshold. ThunderMine has no role in payment processing — it flows directly from the protocol.

Do you custody my Bitcoin?+

Absolutely not. We configure the pool account to pay directly to your personal wallet. ThunderMine never holds, touches, or custodies client Bitcoin at any point in the process.

What happens if my miner breaks?+

Hardware under manufacturer warranty (1 year) is handled via the Bitmain RMA process. ThunderMine manages the logistics on your behalf. Post-warranty repairs are done at cost with full transparency. We also maintain spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.

What is the minimum investment?+

It totally depends on the miner model you choose to deploy at our mining facility. However, for our recommended mining machines, the minimum investment starts from: • Antminer S19K Pro (115 TH/s): ₹1,15,000 • Antminer S19 XP+ Hydro (293 TH/s): ₹3,00,000 The final investment amount may vary based on deployment size, infrastructure requirements, and market conditions.

Can I visit my miner?+

Yes. If you own a full mining site deployment, you are welcome to visit during the miner deployment process at the facility. For individual miner deployments, unboxing and setup are conducted via live video call for full transparency. You will receive the serial numbers of all deployed miners, and the original manufacturer warranty can be verified directly on the manufacturer's official website. Site visits can also be arranged with prior scheduling. For operational security and infrastructure protection, exact site locations are shared only under NDA.

How do I monitor performance?+

You create and control your own account on leading mining pool platforms such as F2Pool, AntPool, ViaBTC, or similar providers. Through the mining pool dashboard, you can monitor real-time hash rate, miner uptime, and Bitcoin earnings at any time. Depending on the selected mining pool platform, you may also access detailed daily, weekly, and monthly performance analytics and payout history directly from your dashboard.

What is SHA-256 and why does it matter?+

SHA-256 is the cryptographic algorithm used by Bitcoin's Proof-of-Work consensus. ASICs are specialized hardware built specifically for this algorithm. This means they're highly efficient at Bitcoin mining but can also mine other SHA-256 coins (BCH, DGB, etc.) if BTC economics ever shift significantly.

What is the exit strategy?+

You own the hardware. At any point, you can request decommissioning with reasonable notice (typically 30 days). Equipment can be physically returned to you, resold through our secondary market, or redeployed. There's no lock-in.

Are there any hidden fees?+

No. ThunderMine follows a transparent hosting and infrastructure model with no hidden charges. The only recurring cost is the monthly hosting fee (fixed power and operations cost), which is charged only when your miner delivers the committed TH/s performance and operates continuously on a 24×7 basis throughout the month. Any significant hash rate shortfall or operational downtime is compensated by ThunderMine as per the agreed terms. • ₹6,000/month for S19K Pro or miners up to 3.5 kW • ₹12,000/month for S19 XP+ Hydro or miners up to 6.5 kW Since clients fully control their own mining pool and wallet accounts, all mining rewards, payouts, and performance data remain completely transparent and visible at all times.

What is the warranty period?+

ThunderMine provides a complete 1-year warranty from the date of miner deployment, in addition to the original manufacturer warranty. During this period, ThunderMine bears the repair-related costs and compensates for eligible operational losses as per the warranty terms.

How long does it take to break even?+

At a Bitcoin price of around $80,000 and current mining difficulty levels: • Air-cooled miners such as the Antminer S19K Pro (115 TH/s) may achieve break-even in approximately 15 to 18 months. • Hydro-cooled miners such as the Antminer S19 XP+ Hydro may achieve break-even in approximately 10 to 13 months. Actual results may vary depending on Bitcoin price, mining difficulty, uptime, and overall market conditions.

Can I add more miners later?+

Yes. ThunderMine allows clients to scale their mining deployment over time, subject to hardware availability and infrastructure capacity. Many clients begin with a smaller setup or even a single miner and gradually expand their mining operations as their confidence and investment grow.

What if Bitcoin price drops?+

If Bitcoin prices fall significantly, mining revenue may decrease while power and hosting costs remain fixed. At very low BTC prices, mining may become less profitable. However, ThunderMine's low power cost advantage (around $0.03/kWh) helps maintain profitability at lower BTC prices compared to many global mining operators.

Is this legal in India?+

Yes. Buying and owning physical hardware is entirely legal in India. Mining Bitcoin for your own wallet is a legal activity. There is no regulatory prohibition on hardware ownership or mining. Consult a tax professional regarding applicable tax treatment of mining income.

What documentation do I receive?+

Hardware purchase invoice, hosting agreement, pool configuration details, monthly performance reports, and access to your pool dashboard. We maintain full operational transparency.

How do I choose between S19K Pro and S19 XP+ Hydro?+

S19K Pro is the more budget-friendly option with lower hosting cost (₹6,000/month), 115/120/134 TH/s performance, and reliable air-cooled technology. S19 XP+ Hydro delivers much higher performance at 293 TH/s with better efficiency, longer miner lifespan due to hydro-cooling, and higher BTC production, with a hosting cost of ₹12,000/month. For lower entry cost, S19K Pro is ideal. For maximum long-term mining efficiency and output, XP+ Hydro is the better choice.

What power infrastructure do you use?+

We operate at ~$0.03/kWh (~₹3/kWh) equivalent — among the lowest in the country. Sites use industrial power connections with diesel backup. Both air-cooled and hydro-cooled setups are operational across our 10+ sites.

How is my BTC protected?+

Your BTC is never held by us — it goes directly to your wallet. The only 'protection' needed is securing your own wallet private keys. We recommend hardware wallets for larger holdings.

What is your uptime guarantee?+

ThunderMine targets 99.9% operational uptime across all deployed miners. Any major downtime or hash rate drop is compensated as per the hosting agreement.
